6組の音響作家がそれぞれの視点で「庭」を描いた、音の箱庭集。ため息が出るほど美しい#1「Garden Music」の作者、Andrew Deutsch（アンドリュー・ドイチュ）の同名アルバムへのオマージュを込めて企画されたといいます。回転するベッドメリーやモビールを思わせるJoywindのトイトロニカ、□□□の微睡むようなアンビエントループ、青山政史によるトレモロランド風のミニマルギターなど、スタイルやアプローチはとりどり。しかしながら監修を手がけたCommune Discによる計らいか、あるいは参加した作家たちの共時性のためか、全体の音の手触りには統一感があり、いずれもミクロな世界観が可愛らしいです。広大な自然でもなければ、インドアでもない。にわか雨が降ったり、遠くから飛行機の音が聞こえたりする程度の、大切な普段の出来事。
A collection of sonic dioramas where six sound artists interpret the theme of "gardens." The project was conceived as a tribute to the album of the same name by Andrew Deutsch, creator of the exquisitely beautiful opening track, "Garden Music." The styles and approaches are diverse, ranging from Joywind’s playful toy-tronica, reminiscent of spinning bed mobiles, to □□□’s drowsy ambient loops, and Amagumo aka Masafumi Aoyama’s Tremololand-style minimalist guitar. However, whether due to the curation by Commune Disc or the synchronicity among the participating artists, the overall sound has a unified texture, and each piece features a charming, microcosmic worldview. It’s neither vast nature nor an indoor setting. Just the cherished, everyday occurrences—like a sudden shower or the distant hum of a passing plane.
